Public safety is fundamental to a healthy, connected city. It is about more than responding when something goes wrong — it is about prevention, preparedness, trust, and the everyday confidence people feel in their neighbourhoods, public spaces, workplaces, and homes. Over the past several years, we have strengthened emergency preparedness, improved coordination across agencies and invested in the tools that help us better understand and respond to community concerns. As our city grows and the risks around us become more complex, from extreme weather to social challenges to emergency events, we must continue building a community where people feel safe, supported, and prepared.
